PJ Jacobsen is set to make a return to the Tyco Suzuki team, riding the Superstock GSX-R1000 machine at the remaining rounds of the British Championship, starting at Donington on the weekend of 7 September .
The 18 year-old from New York impressed everyone on his debut with the team in what was initially a one off ride at Oulton Park, before riding at Brands Hatch in July.
Having never ridden either circuit, Jacobsen posted two top eight finishes, with a seventh at Oulton and sixth and Brands Hatch.
He will also ride at the Masters event at Mondello Park this weekend.
Jacobsen said on his return, “I had so much fun the last time I was here, so it’s great to be back.
“I got here on Sunday morning and was at Donington on Tuesday to test. It’s a pretty cool track and the fast flowing nature will suit my style.
“I’m also looking forward to Mondello this weekend as it’s all about track time and as I’m here for seven weeks I can also do a bit of sight seeing.”
Team Manager Philip Neill added, “It’s nice to be able to work with PJ again as he really impressed us all during his two previous weekends on our GSX-R1000.
“He impressed off the bike as much as on, showing a great attitude and ability to interact and is a very professional young man.
“I’m sure he will enjoy his stay here in Northern Ireland. There’s no pressure on him; let’s just see what happens.”
